Miami Swim Week began in 2002 when several runway producers decided to hold swimwear runway shows to coincide with Miami’s fabled swimwear trade show, SwimShow. Fashion behemoth IMG was the anchor producer for years until they left the market in 2016.
Today several producers create shows during the time of year known as Miami Swim Week.
This year’s shows are scheduled for July 4-12, 2023, except for Paraiso, who have moved their shows to June.
Check the official 2023 Miami Swim Week schedule as it develops (usually around June).
Industry / Press / Influencers
If you’re visiting as industry or press, you’ll need to register with the various producers.
Buy Tickets (General Public)
You’ll find Miami Swim Week tickets here as they appear. You may also want to become a Fashion Week Online® VIP member (not required) for advance notification and discount tickets as available.
Generally, castings only happen a couple of weeks before the shows, i.e. in early July. However, casting announcements may happen several weeks before. A good tip is to check out the list of Miami Swim Week producers, then follow them closely on social media. Often that’s where the announcements will appear.
Models: We do not recommend paying to walk during fashion week. There are plenty of established and legitimate fashion week producers where you can find casting information and either be paid to walk, or (at the very least) walk for free in exchange for videos and photos of the show for your portfolio.
Designers: Is there an “official” / “trademarked” Miami Swim Week? Read about the trademark dispute here.
